Disappointed
I've read many Santa Montefiore books and enjoyed them. This was only my second audible book. I had to abandon it as the narrator was really awful. It was when she attempted an American accent that made me give up with the book. I also thought I knew where the plot was going too, having read many others. This one was not for me

Not for me
I found some of the characters a bit over the top and the story of Rita to far fetched. I listen to relax and although the reader was excellent at the various voices I did find the fluctuations in volume irritating. However I did like the way places, people and actions were described with a few well choose words Just didn't really enjoy it.

Ok but didn’t engage me
One of my less enjoyed books by this author. I’ve enjoyed and engaged with others much more. Didn’t really grow to like any of the characters and felt it was light compared to others.
