Summary
"I didn't realize how much I would miss grocery shopping until it was gone."
Life was pretty good. The love of Alice's life had proposed, they were proud new homeowners, and she'd just landed a great promotion at work. Things were going to plan.
Well, they were, until the Red Death struck.
Billions dead in a matter of weeks. The survivors are few and far between. No one is safe. Life will never be the same again.

Great listen. Scary premise!
Apocalyptic story set in Aus about a flu that wiped most people out. Society as we know it stops! Produced 1 year before the Covid pandemic!!

A very enjoyable book!
I really enjoyed this - a very relatable storyline, given our experience of Covid (albeit not as drastic!) and a good performance by the narrator. I echo the frustrations shared by others about the cliffhanger ending…and still no sign of Book II! Still definitely worth a listen, as a Plus Catalogue offer.

Easy listen
I enjoyed listening to this book and will listen to the next book too. Nicely written and set in Victoria, where I grew up. Believable story.

Good story relasitc
Good story, medioca but was ok to read. Not enough action or excitement foe me but I'd still say it's a good read. Worth a read.

A wife’s book
I enjoyed it not too deep and horrible considering the story line, a good listen, but I prefer a story with aircraft (so not my usual listen, good though).

Very thought provoking
Really enjoyed this story. Very scary premise given what we’ve all gone through with covid.
Really hope there will be a Book 2 and the series continues.

Strong premise, good characters—amazingly insightful in advance of what a pandemic actually looks like
Enjoyed this and still hoping for book 2, although there doesn’t seem to be one on the horizon any time soon…

Good
I enjoyed listening to this audio book. It was an interesting change of scene as it’s set in Australia, instead of USA like the usual post apocalyptic survival stories. The narrator did a good job of making the main characters believable. I hope there will be a sequel.

Loved it - but
So I did read the reviews before listening to this, i have got into this habit with audible plus, But I decided to ignore some of them, sort of which I hadn't though as spoiler alert when I got to the end I was gutted - who ends a book with to be continued and then you cant find the continued book anywhere.
back to this book - I liked how it was set in Australia - I was reminiscing on all the towns mentioned and country life so it made it more real than an American book - and interestingly it was written pre covid (so glad that I hadnt read it then but since covid have really gone on a binge on this genre - no real reason)
I did like the narration for me it suited the setting and it made sense to me.
As mentioned listened to this on the audible plus catalogue - which I am finding some amazing gems.
