Summary

Fiercely independent Daisy Chance has a dream - and it doesn't involve marriage or babies (or being under any man's thumb). Raised in poverty, she has a passion - and a talent - for making beautiful clothes. Daisy aims to become the finest dressmaker in London.

Dashing Irishman Patrick Flynn is wealthy and ambitious and has entered society to find an aristocratic bride. Instead he finds himself growing increasingly attracted to the headstrong, clever, and outspoken Daisy. She's wrong in every way - except the way she sets his heart racing.

However, when Flynn proposes marriage, Daisy refuses. She won't give up her hard-won independence. Besides, she doesn't want to join the fine ladies of society - she wants to dress them. She might, however, consider becoming Flynn's secret mistress....

But Flynn wants a wife, not a mistress, and when Flynn sets his heart on something, nothing can stand in his way.

Skip book three and proceed to this one!

What did you like most about The Summer Bride?

How everything was so nicely wrapped up.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The butler, he was just wonderful through the whole series.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

This series should be rerecorded with a better narrator. She just does mispronounce too often and can not do male voices even if her life depended on it.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Never have any great answer to this question.

Any additional comments?

PIty about the narrator, but I enjoyed the series but would have wished to have skipped book three.

Not your regular Regency romance

Daisy is a fun, stubborn, lovable character. Flynn is everyone's dream man in secret. Lady Beatrice is the wise aunt we all wish we had.

Chance series

Didn't like the unnecessary quotes from other author at the beginning of each chapter in the series!! They were very distracting from the anticipation of the storyline each chapter. The Summer Bride was my favorite book of the series.

Lovely

I enjoyed this 4th novel in the series. Daisy wasn’t my favorite character but it was still a well written novel with great narration. I’m hoping eventually to have a 5th novel involving Ashton, the 4th business partner.

FANTASTIC!

I loved the whole series, but this book, the final installment, was my favorite. I laughed out loud several times, and felt like the characters were people I know. Funny, courageous, kind, stubborn Daisy and handsome, generous, tenacious Flynn made an awesome couple. A totally enjoyable story! I'll be looking for more books by Anne Gracie.

I loved these characters. The whole series is very good, but this had a sweetness and depth to it, that made it an awesome book. Very well read too.

Delightful Series

Each book is as good as the last. Be sure to read them all, in order if possible. You'll fall in love with the Chance sisters. I would love to get to know their children.

a good story.

I am going to have to read more of her stories. This one was great, a good reminder that the Ton wasn't the be-all end-all. I loved the characters!
