The incredible conclusion to the record-breaking triple Hugo award-winning trilogy that began with the The Fifth Season.

The Moon will soon return. Whether this heralds the destruction of humankind or something worse will depend on two women.

Essun has inherited the phenomenal power of Alabaster Tenring. With it, she hopes to find her daughter Nassun and forge a world in which every outcast child can grow up safe.

For Nassun, her mother's mastery of the Obelisk Gate comes too late. She has seen the evil of the world, and accepted what her mother will not admit: that sometimes what is corrupt cannot be cleansed, only destroyed.

Great Series!

Listened to nine hours of this book over two days. Fascinated about how it was going to end! Really enjoyed the series! Found this book slightly slower than the first two.

Incredible!

Just phenomenal stuff, the characters are immense, the world building rich and hugely detailed. Just sad I've reached the end. I look forward to sharing with my Daughters when they're a little older.

Fabulous story, fabulous narration

I just listened to all three books of the trilogy back-to-back and it was a wonderful time. I’m sad it’s over.

Very good and not what I expected

I think this is the best written of the trilogy. I wasn't expecting much from the plot when I started listening but there's lots of interesting plot going on. The writing is a little slow and the narration, whilst excellent, is also a little slow but other than that I really enjoyed the book.

Good Ending

superb performance of the narrator. the story beautifully concludes. I feel content with this ending.

I'm still not a fan of the main character. but the world was so fascinating I'm willing to overlook that.

wish there was more done with Evil Earth.

anyway. Good book. Good ending.

More than a fitting end

I love the first two books and enjoy the themes they explore. I was delighted that in my opinion the series got a more than fitting end.
Many of the big questions got answers in a way that I thought was neat and also fleshed out few of my favorite characters.
As always Robin Miles as narrator is pleasant and brings those characters to life!
