About this listen

My husband has a son I never knew about. Now he’s in our home. And I don’t know if I’m safe.

I thought I had the perfect life. A beautiful home. A handsome, successful husband. He’s a decade older than me, but doesn’t look it.

Then TJ showed up.

He's eighteen, claims to be my husband's son, and needs a place to stay. I didn’t even know Bennett had a child, let alone one so close to my own age. But he’s family, and I have no choice but to let him in.

The next day, a local girl is found dead in our community pool. And guess who’s the prime suspect? TJ.

He insists he’s innocent. Bennett defends him. But something feels off, and I’m starting to question everything — my husband, my stepson . . . even myself.

Can I trust the people I love? Or is the nightmare just beginning?

Please note this book was previously published as My Husband’s Son.

This absolutely addictive psychological thriller packed full of twists is perfect for fans of Daniel Hurst, Freida McFadden, Valerie Keogh and Cole Baxter.

This was ok, since it was a free read. I found it to be rather predictable - the so called plot twist at the end was obvious. I read this at the same time as two friends, and we guessed the end quite early on, writers think they’re clever with their plot twists, but it’s often really obvious.

Predictable ‘twist’

A must read. What a story and what an ending. Was not expecting how this turned out.

This was a fun and addictive listen - I just had to keep listening. I love it when I find a little gem on the audible plus catalogue. This worked well and I was trying to work out how it happened and who was to blame. Such a great way to spend a winter's day.
