About this listen
They cast their destinies to the winds of desire.
The year is 1483. Just as beautiful Lady Arabella Grey, the young cousin of England's King Richard III, speaks her wedding vows to Sir Jasper Keane, the Scotsman Tavis Stewart, Earl of Dunmore, abducts Arabella as payment for Jasper's murder of his fiancee. Irresistibly, deliciously, Arabella surrenders to her enemy with fierce abandon - knowing that there may be only one way to get what is rightfully hers....
Contains mature themes.

I downloaded several free books, all of which were only free for a while, so I didn't pay attention to the authors...
I started reading a medieval one, which I couldn't finish as the heroine was fourteen, had been married off & it WAS leading to a grown man having sex with a child.
So, I started this one... it started off well... the mum stated that she didn't want her daughter to be married off when she was child, she wanted her daughter to be a fully grown woman before she we'd.
Suddenly, the kindly king decides to choose a THIRTY year old man to be betrothed to the child, but he'll have to wait until the child is grown in 2 years time!
I was thinking the girl was at least 16 & only after she was 18 could an engagement be considered.
Lo & behold... the child is eleven & is gonna be married off when she's 13!
That's when I stopped listening... it was also the same time when a fully grown man threatens to rape the child so he can bed the mother... WTAF?!?!
So, it's both disturbing that the title of this book is called spitfire... that the summary implies that the hero & heroine are gonna have a lot of sex... SHE'S UNDERAGE FFS!
Also that the villain has no desire for the heroine ( CHILD ) but fancies her mother, who is a fully grown woman, but that the hero of this story... who seemed like a decent man at the start of the story... is in fact... a PAEDO!
How has this author been allowed to write paedophilic stories?!? At least 2 that I'm now aware of?!?
Disgusting!
why are this author's heroines all underage?!
