She's scarred by her past.

Andrea Evans is traumatized and guilt-ridden by the death of her fiancée. Tired of the gossiping small town, she travels to New York City to pursue her dream of dance. He's uncertain of his future.

Cooper Davidson is a famous photographer and reality television star trying to flee from his own life filled with paparazzi, mental health clinics, and a cheating wife who is pregnant.

When Andrea and Cooper's paths cross, they realize how damaged and in need of escapism they both are. The two create an arrangement to explore the space in between chaos and order with one another. The rules are simple - no emotional connections, no talking about the past, no speaking of the future, and when one finds order, the other walks away. All is well until Cooper accidentally falls in love with Andrea.

Squeaky

The female readers voice is TERRIBLE! I could barely concentrate on the story line, which was not all that great.

I can't get past the 2nd chapter

The narrator's voice is all wrong. Not only doesn't she sound like she's in her 50's, but she has a clear southern accent. The character is from Wisconsin - ZERO southern accent there, I can assure you. I'm sure the story would have been fine, but I just can't listen to the whole thing like this.

Eh... Not one of her best

Brittainy Cherry can write amazing works of art, but I’m sad to say this wasn’t one of them. The female narrator makes it so much worse. I am sorry to say I couldn’t finish the audio.

Really had a hard time listening to these readers.

The writing was too cheeky. Struggled to finish. Not a book to remember. Sad to have wasted the time.

FROM PAIN & CHAOS - COMES ORDER & LOVE

Heartbroken Andrea and devastated Cooper found themselves in 'the space in between' where on one side there's Chaos and on the other side there's Order and they agree to be in the space between the two. Because both of them were broken, both of them were damaged, both of them had heartbreak and both of them agreed that in 'the space in between' there would be no thoughts of the past or the future and they'd be sex without guilt or strings... until eventually one of them reaches Order. But, as messed up as Cooper's celebrity lifestyle was, he'd already reached Order - at the tender age of 9 and a half years old.... when he fell in love with Andrea for the very first time.

Andrea was grieving the tragic loss of the love of her life... her Fiancé Derrick and also trying to cope with the guilt over his death - Cooper's failing marriage ceased the moment he found out that his wife was 3 months pregnant.... by another man. So, for the both of these two lost souls, the space in between was the safest place to be.... however, emotions change, broken hearts heal and love blooms.... but you've got to make space and you've got to let it in. There was soul-deep sadness and pain, bouts of humor harmony and happiness - then angst and broken dreams when the Paparazzi trampled over the tentative seedlings of change... and destroyed two hearts that we're finally healing.

This talented Author took me on a journey filled with raw emotions, heartache, healing and love but along the way Andrea and Cooper would inevitably lose each other for a while as they both needed time to bury the ghosts of their pasts. Andrea was battered but not broken because she had a supportive, funny and loveable best friend in Ladasha and, with Cooper's unwavering love, Andrea finally got the HEA that she a Cooper so deserved. Cooper was a wonderful handsome charismatic hero whose sexy Southern drawl, touching heartfelt declarations and unconditional love got to me every single time. Their romance wasn't instant... instead it took time to mature and develop. Supportive secondary friends and family, one nasty bitchy wife (soon to be ex) and that was her problem, secrets, revelations and blurred sex scenes were also included in the dual POV's storyline. And a couple of great narrators added heartbeats, added emotions and added depth to make this an awesome listen.

Worth a credit? They both wanted to escape their painful realities and, in doing so, they healed each other and found love. I wanted to escape my reality too... of endless chores and this captivating listen did its job ... because I became lost in this emotional yet beautiful love story. Very enjoyable and very creditworthy.

All the Feels

What really got me about this book was how completely broken both of these characters are. Its not perfect at all and Cooper and Andrea make a ton of mistakes. But I think that's what made them feel so human. They were spiraling and they held onto each other for life. Its safe to say they found solace in each other for all the wrong reasons and probably needed to figure out their own stuff before hooking up. But not sure how many people actually take that advice. There were moments between then when things were good and there was a light at the end of their dark tunnel. Them getting past their pain and learning to let all the baggage go would lead to a possibly great relationship between them. No what I didn't care for was the way they took jabs at each other or how Andreas family treated her friend because she was black. Everyone knew it was wrong, including Andrea and she never stepping in when her mother said some foul stuff. Kate and Brian were great.

Couldn’t finish

The female reader was so distracted that I couldn’t finish. I cringed when she read the sex part. I gave four stars for Brian and he is one of my favorite narrators. I’ve listened other stories from this author before and I liked most of them except this one.

Another win for Brittainy

I’m starting to see a pattern with Brittainy’s books. In most of them there are dead-beat dads who either are drug addicts, abusive, or alcoholics. I am wondering if she has had to deal with that in her life? Regardless, she always writes about broken people who deal with so much. Her books are not always easy to read because they pull at your heartstrings. Yes, they mostly have happy endings, but the journey to get there is not an easy task. I suppose that is what it is like in real life. Loved ones die, fathers leave, partners cheat, and hearts are broken, but love can conquer some of those hurts. This is why I love reading her stories because there’s always hope because no matter how bad things get, you can still have a happy ending to your life. This wasn’t my favorite of all her books, but it was still good and the narrators did a pretty good job with their performances.

Beautiful story

Loved this story of two very broken characters who decide to meet in the space in between chaos and order in their lives. This is more of a second chance romance between childhood friends. One has become a celebrity. and the other a stripper. They are both suffering through heartache and are lost. This book has tons of angst and some shocking plot twists. The secondary characters provide a lot to the story, especially the movie wisdom from Andi’s roommate La-a (pronounced Ladasha). Their journey is bumpy, but so beautiful at the end.
