Summary

Patrick: That hair. That fucking hair. It was everywhere, always, and I wanted to tangle my fingers in those dark curls and pull - and that would be fine if she wasn't my apprentice. Andy Asani was nothing like I expected. She was exotic and scary-brilliant, and the slightest murmur from those lips sent hot, hungry lust swirling through my veins.

Andy: My wants were few - good eats, tall boots, sweaty yoga, interesting work. One incredibly hot architect with the most expressive hazel eyes I ever encountered and entirely too much talent in and out of the bedroom wasn't part of the original plan. Wine was my rabbi and vodka was my therapist, and I would need plenty of both to survive my apprenticeship. Especially with Patrick Walsh leaving love notes in the form of bite marks all over my body.

architect romance

Loved the sibling banter, Andy (lead lady) was not as witty as the author liked to imply, the siblings were fantastic.
I loved the family dynamic.

Great Banter and chemistry

The Space Between is the second book about the Boston Walsh family and their architecture firm. I enjoyed the big family dynamics and love the glimpses of each family member's life that runs through these books.
The story focuses on Patrick the "OptimusPrime" of the Walsh family. He has been unable to keep an assistant or apprentice without running them off. Things change with Andy's interview where she is ready for everything he throws at her.

"I couldn’t help it; lame responses kept spewing out while my brain fixated on that voice. If aged whiskey had a sound, it would be Andy’s voice, all heady and rich, with a slow burn as it went down."

With immediate chemistry, fun banter and texts Andy tries to resist a forbidden romance with her boss and all of the messy complications that can and will entail.
I can't wait to dive into the next story and reconnect with my new favorite Boston family.

Loving this series!

Each Walsh is extremely complex and broken, yet accomplished and successful. Learning more about this family is really a great journey. I love the strength of the female characters. Even though we all have our baggage and insecurities life is about learning and growing together, filling in the cracks. This series pulls that off flawlessly with some amazingly hot scenes to further invest you in their connection. Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers are excellent performers and I can't wait to continue through the series!

It keeps getting better and better

Once again, Christian Fox and Lucy Rivers got it perfect.
How does Mr. Fox do it?
The listener can hear the difference between the four brothers as well as Dr. Nick and since I did not read these in order and know how another character will sound- Will, the Navy SEAL from book four.
Patrick, our hero, is the ace in architecture, the person our “h” wants to intern with. He surprises himself when he has “instant-a” attraction to the “h”, Andi but, tries to talk his sister Shannon into not hiring her. While that relationship develops, Matt and Lauren’s wedding is in full planning mode.
The two main characters hide their attraction and relationship from everyone at work (well, except for Riley-who misses nothing it seems) because Andi does not want anyone assuming she is sleeping her way to the top.
Mix in the father from hell dying, and the discovery of a secret room in the childhood home and you have a great continuation of the Walsh saga.
The book ends with Patrick and Andi coming to an understanding as well as Matt’s wedding. Lauren asks for help from Shannon, Andi, etc to distract her two SEAL brothers from taking her soon to be husband out for interrogation. And that subtle scene sets up the next book - Shannon and Will - and you won’t be disappointed in that audible either.
Thorough enjoyment listening to these two talented narrators.

More than basic!!

I truly enjoyed the narrators on this book. I’m going to keep this short and sweet. Loved Patric!! He was an amazing character with his flaws and all. Thoroughly enjoyed that he wears his feelings on his sleeve. Andi I truly enjoyed.... she’s a character you love to hate a bit but can understand because she is real. Not all women show their feelings and can be considered cold. These books hit realistic aspects that I thoroughly enjoyed experiencing.
