Summary

Patrick: That hair. That fucking hair. It was everywhere, always, and I wanted to tangle my fingers in those dark curls and pull - and that would be fine if she wasn't my apprentice. Andy Asani was nothing like I expected. She was exotic and scary-brilliant, and the slightest murmur from those lips sent hot, hungry lust swirling through my veins.

Andy: My wants were few - good eats, tall boots, sweaty yoga, interesting work. One incredibly hot architect with the most expressive hazel eyes I ever encountered and entirely too much talent in and out of the bedroom wasn't part of the original plan. Wine was my rabbi and vodka was my therapist, and I would need plenty of both to survive my apprenticeship. Especially with Patrick Walsh leaving love notes in the form of bite marks all over my body.

architect romance

Loved the sibling banter, Andy (lead lady) was not as witty as the author liked to imply, the siblings were fantastic.
I loved the family dynamic.

Great Banter and chemistry

The Space Between is the second book about the Boston Walsh family and their architecture firm. I enjoyed the big family dynamics and love the glimpses of each family member's life that runs through these books.
The story focuses on Patrick the "OptimusPrime" of the Walsh family. He has been unable to keep an assistant or apprentice without running them off. Things change with Andy's interview where she is ready for everything he throws at her.

"I couldn’t help it; lame responses kept spewing out while my brain fixated on that voice. If aged whiskey had a sound, it would be Andy’s voice, all heady and rich, with a slow burn as it went down."

With immediate chemistry, fun banter and texts Andy tries to resist a forbidden romance with her boss and all of the messy complications that can and will entail.
I can't wait to dive into the next story and reconnect with my new favorite Boston family.

Liked it!

4/5 rating. This author is talented at creating characters. The story is basic, but still has interesting context (sustainable building; preserving heritage buildings). Sexy times are hot. Love the male narrator!

Ohhhhhh, Patrick!!

First let me say I was introduced to this author recently through a book club and was excited to jump in. All I can say is where have the Walsh's been my whole life. I loved that they were real and raw and flawed. Plus the banter between the siblings was on point and hilarious. This book revolves around the oldest Walsh brother, Patrick. He is growly, grumpy and down right broody until Andy Asani walks into his office and into his life. While I enjoyed Patrick in all his moody glory, I simply could not connect with Andy. I liked that she was a strong heroine, but I just didn't like her as the love interest for Patrick. Not sure why, but she feel a bit flat for me. That being said, I loved the book and the twists and turns the story took and I can't wait to read more from this series.

Enjoyed getting Patrick’s story!

I enjoyed Patrick and Andy’s journey! Patrick has been looking out for his siblings for years and growing their business. He hasn’t had time for a relationship. Andy lives and breathes architecture. They have an opportunity to work together and the chemistry between them was palpable. I loved how Andy got under his skin bit-by-bit. I enjoyed their lunches, their banter and I wanted things to develop between them! I also enjoyed getting to see into the Walshs’ lives. Looking forward to the next book.

Enjoyed it

I tend to go for the strong silent types and that's what drew me to Patrick in the first book and this story. I liked that the female love interest wasn't a blonde which is so common but a mixed race person. The only thing is that it was the exact same narrators from the first book. I wished they would have mixed it up.
