This highly original plot is wonderfully gripping. Tending towards the dark, although with some softer moments, this is a book I could not stop reading (listening !!) - and the writing is excellent on the whole. That presumably also means that the translation is excellent. The characterisation is impressive and makes the sizzling plot sizzle even more.
I visited Norway many many years past, and it seemed a country of beauty, peace, and decency.
Wow, now this book makes me wonder what has changed? It seems there is now the most terrifying crime and corruption.
But right or wrong, I recommend this book as an excellent entertainment.
