Summary

Does your child struggle to fall asleep easily? Then this story about a dinosaur who struggles to fall asleep might be just the thing they need to help them fall asleep themselves. It's a relaxing story about a dinosaur who wants to fall asleep but can't until he's had a bedtime story. He visits each of his dinosaur friends, asking them to read him a bedtime story - until finally, he finds one who will read him a story.

If your child loves dinosaurs, they'll love this dinosaur bedtime story - and you'll love it, as the repetitive nature of the story can help them relax, ready for sleep.

Wow

Wow, such a lovely little children's book. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it and found it to be the perfect bedtime story. Would highly recommend it. The narrator's voice was well suited to the storyline and made the characters come to life.

Good story

Good story but my wee one wants to see the pictures and the narration was quite monotone. We didn't finish the book because of this.

wakes child up at end...

Uninspired, unoriginal story. narrator is good but book ends with loud proclamation that it's an audiobook from audible. Thanks for taking my child back up.

Not the most memorable

Definitely not my favourite bedtime story book but it did work. My daughter was fast asleep by the end of the book. Glad I got it with my free credits and didn't pay for it tho.

Yawning straight away

Kids loved it. They were yawning from the first chapter. Great sleepy voice too. Brilliant

Poor

Performance: strong American accent, it felt like having a cowboy pretending to care about reading a childrens story

Story: very short and split into pointless 1-minute long chapters eith loud "Chapter X" announcements inbetween

The Sleepysaurus

My son requests this and is often asleep within minutes! I can’t really comment on the content, it seems short and sweet but he seems to like it! He’s 6years old.

not ideal for putting kids to sleep

the chapters are 1 minute each and each start with an announcement that it's a new chapter, whuch breaks up the flow of a short bedtime story. then it ends with a loud "audible hopes you have enjoyed this story" which I sort of had until that line made my 4 year old open his eyes and sit up.

too short, not even 9 minutes long.

interrupts by saying chapter numbers, waste of money. would like a refund. not soothing or calming at all.

Full of words that suggest sleep - it works

This book is full of words and descriptions of dinosaurs and dinosaur children settling down and snuggling in for the night and my daughter rarely makes it to the end of this short book. The power of suggestion seems to work and it puts her to sleep. I love this book and my daughter knows when I put this book on, she won't last long, so she protests. We listen to another book like frog and toad and then back to Sleepysaurus so she'll go to sleep and I can relax.

Brilliant audio book and great performance.

Mist Enjoyable

My grandsons really enjoyed it. They stayed put as the narrator read the story. I loved the one-minute chapters.

I need more of these!!!!!!!

I was so sceptical, but I thought it sounded cute and I really wanted to give it a try. I put this book in my wishlist and the day after I was lucky enough to spot it up in exchange for honesty reviews. So I quickly requested a copy. I received this book this afternoon and tonight my 2 year old decided he wasn't having any part of going to bed. He wanted to watch a favorite cartoon and was vehemently letting us know about it. So I asked him if we could lay down and listen to a dinosaur audiobook for bed. (I often listen while driving or cleaning so he knows what they are). I put the book on my phone and hit play. At first he wanted to look at the screen but after 2 minutes or so he realized it wasn't a video and begrudgingly threw his head facedown in the pillow mad. I was afraid the chapter announcements were going to throw off the flow and keep him awake but about halfway through the story I watched him fighting his heavy eyes and trying to move a bit to keep himself up. The book finished and he was still fighting it but he was now clearly very tired so I just hit play again. He didn't even make it halfway through the book this time and he was completely out. I couldn't believe it, it worked!!!!! I will say the story is not exciting but it kept his attention enough he stayed in bed and a huge plus is the author's voice is soothing and most importantly it actually put my 2 year old to sleep!!!! I sincerely hope this author and narrator do more books like these!!! I will happily buy them all!
