In this clever epic fantasy, escaping the curse Rasp Stoneclaw has been running from since birth may be trickier than expected.

Runaway heir Rasp Stoneclaw was born cursed, prophesied to bring destruction to the world. Now exiled by the Stoneclaw tribe after his brothers drove him out, he lives under an assumed name. Far from the curse, of course.

Meanwhile, Protector of the Realm Oralia Dawnsight—along with her team, the rebellious faithful four—is on the hunt for Rasp, ready to restore him to the throne for the small price of a trade route truce. She'll get Rasp to agree to a deal, and then they'll be on their way up the mountain path to install him as the new, peaceful leader of the Iron Ridge. Simple, right?

But little does Oralia know the newly selfless Rasp has no intention of ever reaching the Iron Ridge. And little does Rasp know Oralia has some tricks of her own up her sleeve . . .

The first volume of the hit fantasy-adventure series—originally released on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

This seems to be undiscovered gem as no reviews. It is fantastic, I really enjoyed it. quirky, funny and original. Full of interesting characters and relationships, with a blind protagonist. It's not epic in the LOTR mould but more irreverent anti hero Joe Abercrombie ish but a really good story. With some nuanced relationships, but still original. Slow world building with an interesting take on races and politics. The narrator is a great fit and suits the spirit of the book perfectly. it will take a little while to get into it, but there are twists and turns aplenty and the dramatic scenes are done brilliantly. Will eagerly move onto the next. Having finished book 3 i may have done it a disservice, in that the series is an epic. Really attached to the characters and I am just a bit bewildered as to why its not gaining more of a following. Especially compared to others who are, which are miles off this series. Maybe the publishers need to get more behind it, but please if you read this Anna bring on part 4!!! Thankyou 👍
