Interesting twist at the end
I quite enjoyed this book, I liked the idea of it , beginning was good end was good but a few hours on the middle did drag . I think this story could have been shorter and equally as good . All in all not bad

disappointing
I listened ‘till the end but was very close to give up 3 time’s. very sorry to say it shalini, but this book was your very worst.

Really Struggled
I usually really enjoy a Shalini Boland audio book so downloaded this as soon as it was released.
I have to say I very nearly gave up after a few chapters. The story just didn’t go anywhere and unfortunately the narration by the usually good Katie Villa was poor. In my head the main character Alice was a 20 something young bride but Katie’s voice portrayed her as in her 40’s and made her sound dull and boring. The story was so unbelievable it was laughable. The twist if you could call it that was predictable and dull.
I’m sorry but I really didn’t enjoy this.

Really great thriller!
Finally a thriller with an unexpected twist! I have been so disheartened by thrillers lately, but this was great. Easy listening, building to an unputdownable crescendo and just when you think you’ve guessed the plot, Shalini Boland stumbles you. Highly recommended reading!

Unbelievable and unlikeable
The protagonist was so useless and passive that I found her incredibly unlikeable. The number of times she thought ‘I want to do x but someone (anyone) might not like it so I will do y, and then be sad because other people are SO inauthentic…’ I grew to not care what happened at all.

Gripping if a Bit far fetched in places
Interesting storyline and definitely keeps you guessing. I did get a bit irritated with the main character continually changing her affections but overall a good gripping listen

Intriguing...
Very far fetched storyline but definitely draws you in and keeps you guessing. Not my favourite by this author, but worth a listen. Narrator brilliant as usual.😊
