About this listen

They killed a man.

Now they must keep the secret.

When a masked intruder breaks into Moorside House just after midnight, the Overaugh family act on instinct.

What happens next is quick. Brutal. Final.

By morning, the man is dead - and the family make a choice that will bind them together forever.

They won’t call the police.

They won’t tell the truth.

And no one can ever know what really happened that night.

But Moorside House has seen violence before.

In the days that follow, each member of the family begins dreaming the same dream - a dark figure with actions that took place inside the house decades earlier. The details are identical. The fear feels real.

As suspicion begins to close in and cracks form within the family, the Overaughs realise the past buried within Moorside House may not be finished with them yet.

Because some houses remember everything.

And some secrets refuse to stay buried.

A dark, twist-filled psychological thriller about guilt, loyalty, and the lengths a family will go to protect its own.

Set in and around Moorside House in Altham, Lancashire, The Series of Silence is a psychological thriller saga built on unease, inherited trauma and the dangerous power of unspoken truths. The story moves seamlessly between timelines, drawing readers into a world where the past is never truly buried and every generation pays the price for the silence of the last.
