About this listen

THE FINAL FREY & McGRAY MYSTERY
All will be revealed...

* * * * *

The Devil Has Come to Edinburgh...

An ill-fated grave-robbery unearths a corpse with a most disturbing symbol on it. When a patient in Edinburgh's lunatic asylum is murdered, the same sign is daubed in blood on the walls - the mark of the devil.

The prime suspect: inmate Amy McGray, notorious for killing her parents years before. Her brother, Detective 'Nine-Nails' McGray, must prove her innocence - with the help of an old friend . . .

Inspector Ian Frey insists he is retired. But when called upon, he reluctantly agrees to their final case.
As twists follow bombshells, leading to secrets that have been waiting in the shadows all along, all will be revealed . . .

This rollicking Victorian sensationalist melodrama is the epic conclusion to the marvellous Frey & McGray mysteries.

Please don’t let this book be the final instalment of what has been the most fabulous audio book series. I’ve loved every minute - more than once had to pull my car off the road because I couldn’t see for laughing. This whole series has been sheer genius from every angle including the first rate narration. Listening perfection.

Listening perfection, please continue writing!

I have loved the whole series and I hope there is a future tv adaptation as it is ripe for it with such great characters

Fantastic finale

Waited patiently for this last installment and did not regret it. It is so brilliant. Mystery, Humour, Sadness, Excitement, Action and perfect storytelling. I came to the end not wanting it to finish but totally satisfied with how it did. Will listen again and again just like have with the previous books in the set. Well done and Thank you to writer and narrator perfect combination.

You Must Listen to this it's Brilliant 👏🏾

As much as I hope the dynamic duo comes back one day, I really enjoyed the resolution of the remaining mysteries. Fast paced and brilliantly narrated, time passed too quickly.

As a side note... there are a few words which get overused and I wish the author could have found a greater variety of expressions. Cackling, gasping, growling are just a few of these words :)

A deserving final
