Blue Wing lives with her guardian Siringen, a shark caller, on the outskirts of her village. This was gut-punchingly emotional, have tissues ready. There was a surprise, but I did suspect it earlier on.
I thought it was set in New Zealand but I see it's actually set around Papua New Guinea, although I'm so happy to have read this.
