Story
In great cities of the world, humanity congregates, and commerce, culture, and cosmopolitan sophistication blossom in their gardens. But in the shadows that lie beyond the broad boulevards and glare of electric lights, great cities give birth to something else. In these shadows thrives a dim underworld, peopled by nefarious characters brought together from every godforsaken corner of the globe. Can a lone policeman make a stand for decency against the godless denizens of New York’s most loathsome slum, or will he find himself consumed by the filth and depravity of nameless cults?

Wow I never knew this story was so good!!!
I have always found this Lovecraft story to be a little less interesting than some of his better know work. Wow was I wrong. This just became one of my favorite Lovecraft stories and the best episode of Dark Adventure yet! The way these radio shows bring to life Lovecraft's work while still maintaining the elements of the written versions that make his writing so captivating is amazing.

Favorite of the Dark Adventure series
This is exceptionally well produced and performed. I particularly commend the performance of the main character, but they all do an excellent job with the diction and vocabulary of the time period. It’s quite immersive.
The intro announcer is a bit corny, but if you listen to the other HPLHS radio dramas, you might catch a few references to the “sponsors”, which I found clever.

Perhaps one of the best audio presentations ever
I wrote previously on another, earlier, title - not by the same publishers - in which the narration and sound effects were annoying and distracting. Amateurish and infantile. This book ... nay, it is not a book .. it is a PERFORMANCE ... was the exact opposite. Engaging, well acted, and a wonderful original story. Would look to get more of these theater pieces, for sure. BRAVO! *standing applause*

Terrifying Secret Buried by Amnesia
Another fantastic episode of Dark Adventure Radio Theater. A professor loses the memory of five years of his life. This adaptation was outstanding as usual. The production, sound effects and music are wonderful. What really sets this apart is the superb vocal talents of the actors. Every voice is pitch perfect in character and they perfectly immerse you in this world. So much fun!
