Grieving over the loss of her family and feeling like her life is unraveling, Lindsey McDermott quits her job, gets a puppy, and retreats to her grandparents' home in the Texas Hill Country. Straight woman with son,meets lesbian, both overcoming great loss.
Didn’t want it to end, as I really liked the two main characters, healing emotional wounds, finding each other.
It’s also about overcoming grief and loss. The other main character is a nine year old boy, son of one, who plays a pivotal role in the story.
It’s all quite moving, and fun and a slow burn, you’ll enjoy if you like a gentle , character driven love story.
Very well read by Abbi Craden, best lesfic narrator, imho.
