Summary

Micah: Constantine Ross is a cocky, provoking little...yeah. And I swear, I'd think that even if his family's business wasn't my biggest competition. It's time someone taught the man a lesson or two about life. At least that's what I tell myself when I offer him a job. Call it my good deed for the year...maybe the century.

But now he's in my shop. In my space. In my every damn thought. In. My. Bed.

And how the hell am I supposed to resist him?

Constantine: I'll be the first to admit I've royally screwed up, but what can I say? I was a stupid teen who lost his dad and spiraled out of control. Almost a decade later, I'm still trying to make amends. The last thing I need is my family's arch-nemesis wading into my life like he's got all the answers. Except...I really need money, and the arrogant jerk offered me a job.

I can deal with Micah's attitude. My attraction to him? That's different. He's my boss, not my boyfriend. And he's way too old for me. But God, he's gorgeous. Dominant. Compelling.

I don't want to want him.... But I can't turn away.

My favourite of the bunch

My favourite of the Love in O'Leary books. I adored the dynamic between Con and Micah.

Middle age (gap) 24/40

Third O’Leary instalment. Like the first two books this one is entirely standalone but takes place in an overlapping timeline with the first two. I've seen other people complain about this but I personally really enjoyed it.

Con is young and feels the need to make up for his teenage sins after almost a decade. His mom takes 1000% advantage of his willingness to make amends. Micah is 40 and seriously committed to making his business work and pulling string to help Con.

These guys are so foolish but in love (at least during the 3rd act break up).

Best narrators ever

Let’s be honest- I could listen to these pair read a phone book and it would be epic. They make anything they narrate sound interesting lifting it off the page beautifully although the mother aspect of the story was overwhelming

Great story

I loved this story. The characters were perfect and the narrators brought them to life perfectly. It was funny and so romantic. Slow burn led to a epic 5 chilli perfection.

Mediocre

I dislike romance novels where the mom is a third a main character. And I disliked the coincidence how the issue with the wedding flowers in the end was solved.
There were some sound disturbances in one of the chapters. It sounded like wind blowing in the mic.
And, well, you like Cendese or not. I learned to tolerate him.
