The Santiago Trilogy by Catherine Wiltcher is a dark mafia romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett and JF Harding.

This is the first series of Catherine's that I have read and it won't be my last. The chemistry between Eve and Dante was off the charts. Their relationship is messy, but you can't help but root for them.

Sarah and JF did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this series if you like dark romances, mafia romances, or romantic suspense.

Eve did become a bit annoying, when she didn’t learn from experience. I’m hoping there’s a “Joseph” book next.

Made me laugh, cry, shout, angry. Hallmark of great storytelling. This title has been sitting in my library for months. Mostly bedtime reading, I'd doze off and wake several chapters later, or next morning. When I got into it, couldn't put it down. Should be called The Corruption of Eve! Dante totally corrupted her. Eve did grate on me though. A lot.

Their story is dark, raw, violent and full of twists and turns. It's an emotional roller coaster of suspense and intrigue. It throws you over a cliff, drags you back up, only to do it again and again. Yet, in the bleak darkness, some of Dante's one-liners are a source of pure humour. He behaves with such utter stupidity sometimes I was shouting at him. They are both rash, make decisions that bring them face to face with death, as the tale range across Columbia, Miami, Africa, Island in the Pacific, and flashbacks to Afghanistan.

Catherine Wiltcher masterfully captures how the arc of life can trigger the disintegration of the human soul. It's subtle, nuanced and depressingly heartbreaking. Yet, in that darkness there is a spark. It is so deeply embedded in, and corroded by horror, it will need more than love to ignite and lead Dante to the light.

I'll listen to The Santiago Trilogy again, and again. The narrators were great. One of the best dark mafia stories I've listened to. Highly recommended.

Loved every minute of this. They should make it into a movie! Loved the narration. Sarah Puckett is a great orator and I find listening to her in a dual voice so good. The story was hot as, and listening to all three back to back was a joy! I enjoy a bit of raunchiness and but also a good Mafia blood bath! Expect all two from this. I defy anyone to not fall in love with Eve and Dante.

This is the second time I've listened to this novel my favorite mafia books. Both narrors were fantastic really brought the story to life highly recommend this book well worth a credit
