Not the best Peter Ash story.
Too much unnuanced evil, so less well balanced this time.
Peter, Lewis and June felt like a sideshow, rather than the central character.
Still brilliant narration and heroics for Peter, but the developing horrors were overdone.

Another great Peter Ash story. I liked the dual timelines and the way the two narratives dovetailed together. Quite violent, and a disturbing study of a controlling relationship. Well written as usual by Nick Petrie. Looking forward to the next in the series!

Nice balance of Peter on his own and then "help" arriving. I prefer the solo parts of these books more but its quite nice this Reacher type character has a little more depth to his personal life.
Good level of reality for his injuries over the series. hes not superman.
Quite liked the character Frank and PonyBoy as bad guys but not complete headcases.
These books are decent... entertaining, like a solid film that scores 6.5+ on imdb.

The Peter Ash series continues to entertain. Petrie is leagues ahead of other thriller writers, and is a welcome replacement to a string of lacklustre Lee Child novels. I would highly recommend all of Petrie’s books
