I really enjoyed the second book in this series, June and Cals storie was lovely. I really valued the way the two characters grew throughout the book. Looking forward to Bob and Jay jay's stories.

Cal is the most damaged of the team, he has the most scars, physically, emotionally and mentally, my heart hurts for him and the demons he still fights every single day. But that doesn't stop him working, helping his team and protecting those who need it. What he never expected was the feelings June unearths, he didn't think he was capable of want, lust, need or love, but June makes him feel.....everything.
Cal and June are amazing people individually, but together they are awesome! Both so selfless, so determined to put others first and so lacking in self confidence, but together their confidence soars, the walls they have built around their hearts crumble and the shattered pieces of their souls begin to heal, to knit back together stronger than ever.
An amazing series, I love all of the team. My only grumble is some of the 'English-isms' are not quite right, but this is a small and really picky grumble! I am looking forward to Bob's book, he is the slightly crazy one of the team.

Firstly, if you have a character who is English, get English people to narrate. The dreadful accents they put on spoiled the whole thing.

Secondly, get someone English to beta read or edit. The use of English terms and swear words weren’t used authentically - it sounded like what it was, an American pretending to be English. Sorry Susan, but this fell short of your usual standard.
