Alex Cross w\o all the sex & language.
If you love James Patterson's crime novels but not the body details, graphic sex or foul language, you'll love this series.

Exciting but spiritually anemic
This book held my attention well but I expected more of a spiritual uplift from an inspirational publisher.

Gripping
Another good Patrick Bower thriller. I wish the narrator would get another voice for Tessa. She sounds stilted and like a whiny brat.

Another great story! Enjoying this series!
I listen to Childs, Flynn, Connelly, WEB, David B. and White, this series ranks with all these authors!

Action, mystery & a splash of Romance
Male voiced well, Female voices would have been much better if done by a female.

Great Read!!
the narration was fantastic as always. the story was good but seemed a bit forced at the end. Patrick Bowers needs to get tough. The characters audible thoughts can go away also. all in all I had a good time listening and will continue to listen to this authors books and especially to the narrator.

excellent book
Stephen James James's first book in the series The Pawn was pretty good but it was as if he went out of his way to prove that he could be as gory and macob as the likes of Stephen King. I actually found myself fast-forwarding through parts of that book to get past the unnecessary Gore and back to the point. but this book was much better written, suspenseful, and a good mystery.

Intense Nail-Biting Thriller
Any additional comments?
I don't bite my nails, but Steven James almost had me taking up the habit. Richard Ferrone gives a solid performance in the narration. Plot was strong. Character development was top notch. The suspense will have you wanting to listen to more, long after your road trip. This is the first edition in a great series by James, and in my opinion it is the best in the series, next to Opening Moves. One word of caution, it's not for the squeamish! I read a lot of fiction, this one is one of my top ten, better than Andrew Klavan.

Finally a good clean suspense story.
I have been waiting for a good suspense series without all this sex and language. Finally!
