Will Cannon takes on the difficult task of finding the robber's roost. Will assumes the name of Avery, a Texas outlaw, to get into the robber's roost - but he finds that the ranch is owned by a man that is not an outlaw and there are two children at the ranch. This is a classic western adventure novel set in the badlands of Wyoming.
