Summary

Rich boys don't fraternize with the help.
They don't fall in love with the help.
They don't risk everything for the help.

We know what we're up against now. Who we're up against. But if he holds all the cards, the truth hardly matters.

The kings of Linwood want me to run. They want me far away from here, where I'll be safe.

I won't go, though. I refuse to leave my mom behind, and the four boys who've each claimed a piece of my heart won't let me face this threat on my own.

They swear they'll do whatever it takes to end this. To keep me safe.

Since we won't back down, fighting is our only option.

But I've played poker long enough to know that sometimes when you risk everything...

You lose everything.

Author's note: The Risk is a reverse harem high school bully romance, the final book in the Kings of Linwood Academy trilogy. It contains cursing and sexual situations.

I've discovered the killer, slept with all the boys, what's next? Risking our lives to free my mom. Discovering the killer was the easy part, trying to find the information to feel my mom might cost everyone their lives. The best one in the series and how deep the boys go for Harlow is crazy.

Worth the Risk

The Risk is book three in the Kings of Linwood Academy by Callie Rose and is narrated by Amanda Stribling. Before I listened to this series, I was completely against high school romances, like I loved them when I was in high school, but I have struggled to read them as an actual adult. If you are like me, then this series (and Callie Rose’s other 2 as well) just might change your mind, as it certainly did for me. The story isn’t just about sex, or about the romance between 1 special girl and her loyal boys either (Yes, I said boys as in plural), it has an actual plot with character growth. The story itself has just enough suspense and twists and turns to both pull you in and also frustrate you at the same time. The best part about the whole package though is the narration by Amanda Stribling. She became Harlow and my heart ached with her as she navigated her blooming relationship and her mother’s wrongful incarceration. From start to finish, she took me on a journey, so much so that hours would pass, and I wouldn’t even notice. The epilogue was stellar too, I smiled so much at the thought of Harlow and her boys finally getting their well-earned HEA.

Kudos to Callie Rose and Amanda Stribling for that awesome journey. This is one I will definitely read again soon. AudiobookObsessionReviewer🎧

Wow!! That was an amazing ending to a very fantastic series. The storyline is fabulous, I absolutely love the concept of rich boys falling in love with the help, a poor girl. The characters are well developed and captivating. Amanda Stribling's narration is excellent, she does a wonderful job bringing the story to life.

Harlow has been beside herself with grief. Somebody has murdered a girl she didn't get along with at her school and framed her mother. While trying to find the truth, she stumbles upon the real killer, putting herself and her four boys in danger. She must decide whether to continue trying to free her mother or let it go and keep her and those she loves alive. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the entire trilogy. I didn't love it at first, but I stuck with it and wound up falling in love about halfway through the first book. I'm so glad I stuck with it. It got so much better. I loved how everything came together very neatly in the end. But the author definitely kept me on edge to up to the very end! I really loved how connected I felt to Harlow. She is just this strong-willed and passionate young lady. She knew what she wanted, but she also cared about what others wanted as well. She tried to stay strong, but she was able to admit her weaknesses. Her four boys were pretty amazing too. Once one got through their exterior walls. I'm sad that I'm done with the trilogy and won't' read about these again. I'd of loved to see more with her mom and her best friend. I was very impressed with Amanda Stribling. Not only in this book but the entire trilogy. It was like she pulled the emotions from the characters out and claimed them as her own. Especially where Harlow was concerned. I loved it. It's a quality that I love seeing with narrators. I love the life that narrators can bring to books. It helps me enjoy reading when I can't actually read. I really did love this book. I loved the entire trilogy. I recommend reading the entire trilogy in order. It is definitely not one that can be read out of order. I also want to warn that it will catch a reader in their feels. There were parts in the book where my heart was beating so hard! I can't even begin to explain it. I was as afraid as Harlow. I'm sure of it!

Beautiful Ending!
