Finally got to listen to this after waiting forever! I've read Leeanne's other books so I was pretty excited for this one. 😁😁😁
Leeanne truly has a way with words. Her writing doesn’t just describe scenes, she makes you feel them. One of my absolute favorite moments in the book was Nate’s confession. The way he opened up about why he never pursued anything with Ruby during their long friendship and how deeply it hurt him when they lost touch. That scene hit me hard. It wasn’t just about what was said, but HOW it was said. What struck me most was how Leeanne managed to write a powerful declaration of love without ever using the words “I love you.” It was subtle, sincere, and so perfectly in character. That moment was everything. I absolutely loved it.

Ruby's whole thing about being a content creator was spot on too. The pressure to look like you have your life together when you're falling apart inside - ugh, too real. That part where Nate talks about social media being like serving your life on a fancy plate really got to me. I've been thinking about that stuff a lot lately with everything going on online.This isn't just some fluffy romance (though don't get me wrong, the romance is chef's kiss). It's about figuring out who you actually are when everyone expects you to be someone else.Anyway, loved it. ♥️♥️♥️

I was not prepared for the emotional battering. I laughed, cried, got invested in every twist and turn.
It's right up there with Bridget Jones in terms of character charm and development. I truly want to make this into a film some day.

From start to finish this book had me gripped. The story line, the twists the whole thing is just amazing. I was there in the vehicle, in the country with them. Nervous, riding all the emotions with the characters. 100 stars

Another wonderful tale from this fantastic author. Her characters are so well written, the story is gripping without being unrealistically dramatic, you just want to live inside their world. And the narrator is perfect. I was worried that this wasn’t a dual POV as I usually prefer that, but I actually think that was so much better for this particular character and her journey to finding herself. Be warned though, you’ll want to jump on a plane to New Zealand! Do yourself a favour and listen straight away. And then read all her others as well. You won’t regret it.
