Story
Sunset Park is gone. People are missing. Sylvie, Eric, and the other survivors have crossed the water to the security of a new Safe Zone, where they hope to heal their battered hearts, amass an armory, and get back at the ones who took it all away. But with zombies on the move and few resources to speak of, it’s harder than expected to plot their revenge. For some, it’s harder still to garner their resolve, since vengeance means more of them will die. But safety is ephemeral in a city where food is short and tensions are high. It seems fate may leave them no choice but to fight.

Summary
What is the difference between justice and revenge?
In this buzzworthy new thriller by New York Times best-selling author Lisa Unger, two wronged women on very different paths find themselves in the same dark place....
Claudia Bishop's perfect life fell apart when the aftermath of a brutal assault left her with a crumbling marriage, a newborn daughter, and a constant sense of anxiety about the world around her. Now, looking for a fresh start with a home restoration project and growing blog, Claudia takes on a crumbling old house - one that, unbeknownst to her, has an ugly history and may hide long-buried secrets.
For Zoey Drake the defining moment of her childhood was the horrific home invasion murder of her parents. Years later she has embraced the rage that fuels her. Training in the martial arts has made her strong and ready to face the demons from the past - and within.
Strangers to each other, and walking very different paths in the wake of trauma, these two women are on a collision course - because Zoey's past nightmare and Claudia's dreams for her future take place in the very same house. As Zoey seeks justice and Claudia seeks peace, both will confront the monsters at the door that are the most frightening of all.

Incredible, May be her best yet
I finished listening to this book at 3:30 a.m. this morning. Then laid awake for at least an hour thinking it through.
By history, I have read everything starting with the Lydia Strong books, written as Lisa Miscione. So I'm a big fan, but I think this may be the best yet.
Plus kudos for the narrator who had a tough job to do with three distinct female leads. Yet the voices of a teen, a late twenties, and an early forties woman were distinct and age appropriate.
Outstanding and highly recommended but be prepared to stay up late.

Fairly good, maybe better for Young Adults
This book has some good points, the characters are distinct and well built. There are a couple of story lines that converge and it does get a little confusing if not far fetched. The teenage girl vigilante was particularly hard to swallow.
Its entertaining but goes on a little too long with too many wrap ups but I guess that happens when you have a few different story lines. Not sure if it was meant as a YA book but book but it does read like one.

Interesting story
This was a great read. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it took me a little bit to differentiate the 2 women characters towards the beginning of the book. The narrative changed from each of their lives but once it became clear who perspective it was from it was fine. A few chapters in I caught on. I really enjoyed the story and the characters were very likable. I would definitely recommend this book and will be looking out for the next in this series as it's left off as a possible continuation to future books. I will definitely also read more by this author in the future as well.

Great Read
At first there were so many characters and so much time line jumping that I almost stopped listening to the book. It was so disturbing to have to listen to a chapter then listen a second time to figure out which character and what time period was being represented. But it was so worth it when everything comes together. You have to go through the layers to understand the complexity of all the characters.

How about a few more storyline in one book?
I bought this for the narrator. Gave up because I got sick of more and more characters being introduced. I don't have time to sit around and do nothing but listen so I play books while cleaning my house and yard, driving, etc. Pass on this one.
