I loved the blend of sci fi with the concepts and explanations of how someone can be driven to participate in the system that is keeping them in bondage. However it was a bit on the nose, and parts of the story and character development seemed stalled, with an ending that wrapped up so quickly that it seemed like a cliff hanger. I bought the next book and so far it just moved on so like, what actually happened? It seems to have skipped over the whole climax of the storyline? I have really struggled to see how characters got from point A to B in a literal sense of being trapped in a room to apparently sparking a revolution, to characters being entirely against the main character suddenly following her blindly. Because she changed her attitude? Considering how awful she had been with interpersonal relationships and betrayed every single person in her life it just feels entirely impossible that she could jump from that to taking charge. She would seem unhinged and dangerous and realistically her classmates would have gone against their own morals and dobbed her in out of fear they would be punished with her. Idk. I’m just really thrown by the end
