I can tell the boss likes me, because I'm not dead. Bash is abrasive and acerbic, like some sort of alien love child between Michael Caine and Miss Hannigan. And maybe Ebenezer Scrooge. Bash is a little…anti-human race. But he’s not all bad. Sure, he's a little growly and he sets things on fire when he gets mad, but even villains need friends. And here? Bash is everybody's villain. Everybody’s but mine.

I feel terribly guilty that I have had this book for several years and not reviewed it cause it's one of my favourites of this genre.

I am terrible at writing reviews..I suppose that it's vague, saying it's well written but it's just is. It's well thought out and not rushed.The build up to a romantic relationship, characters you would remember, even the secondary characters are interesting. It's funny too and well narrated.
