About this listen

From best-selling author Talia Hibbert comes a story of wicked royals, fake engagements, and the fed-up office worker trapped in the midst of it all.

Cherry Neita is 30, flirty, and done with men. As far as she can tell, they're overrated, overpaid, and underperforming - in every area of life. But a girl has needs, and the smoking-hot stranger she just met at the office seems like the perfect one-night stand....

Prince Ruben of Helgmøre is reckless, dominant, and famously filthy. The outcast royal is rebuilding his reputation - all for a good cause - but he can't resist a pretty face. And bossy whirlwind Cherry's got the face, the body, and the attitude to make Ruben's convictions crumble. Even better, when she propositions him, she has no idea who he really is.

But when paparazzi catch the pair, erm, kissing in an alleyway, Ruben's anonymity disappears faster than Cherry's knickers. Now, the press is in uproar, the palace is outraged, and Ruben's reputation is back in the gutter. There's only one way to turn this disaster around - and it involves Cherry, some big fat lies, and a flashy diamond ring. On her left hand.

Unfortunately, Cherry isn't pleased with Ruben's "fake engagement" scheme...and neither is the king.

Contains mature themes.

This book was absolutely fantastic! I loved Cherry’s and Reuben’s the character development and their relationship. The narrator captured the emotions of each of the characters and added his own flair to the book. Would 100% recommend.

Amazing from start to finish

I initially struggled with the accents, however once I immersed myself into the book I absolutely loved it! Our main character Cherry is a plus size lady and our love interest is very much appreciative of it. The book covers a variety of hard hitting topics as well as some raunchy scenes.

I really enjoyed this book and fully recommend it!

Loved it!

I decided to read this after devouring Act Your Age, Eve Brown. The kink element took me by surprise in the bet way. I haven't even finished reading yet but I felt compelled to leave this review. The pacing is perfect, it's well written with an engaging plot, and the spicy scenes are right up my alley, but I don't love the narrator. His voice is jarring and he makes Cherry sound like someone's nan the way he does her voice, which I don't feel matches with her vivacious character. It kinda works for Reuben. I would have preferred a female voice for this, I think. But honestly, it's not a huge deal, the storytelling is still effective.

Wow!

New author and narrator to me - both great. Enjoyed this little story so much - really good fun and the narrator made it so much better. Loved Rueben, he adored her from the first sight and her little northern accent was brill. Can’t wait to listen again in the future.
