Too much of the same content

Listened to the switch and fat girl Friday discovered if you listen to one you’ve listened to them all
Lots of other people’s work and quotes in there obviously people he admires and is inspired by but then again he will have tapped into the same energy source
Like his voice just don’t feel the need to own more than two of his books

A truly inspiring book

I listened to the powerfully confident woman to try and help my self-esteem and confidence issues. I was only halfway through the book when I decided to kick my own ass and do all of the things that I'd always wanted to do. This book led me to starting my own business and finding my father after 35 years. I would highly recommend it. I have just purchased my next Craig Beck book can't wait to listen to that.

Not worth buying if read Fat Girl Friday.

This is the third book of Craig Beck that I have bought. I love his voice hence the 4 stars for performance, however 50%of the book to me was "copied and pasted" from Fat Girl Friday, he could have used other examples at least, for it not be so obvious.

women power

I personally thought the book was good, I didn't particularly think it was aimed at women becoming more confident , I felt it was an over all pep talk.

Never too old!

I am an almost 65 year old woman whose marriage of over 40 years floundered about three years ago. I don’t think I am probably the target audience but my 30 year old son suggested it may help me. I had started on line dating as a way to rebuild my life and confidence and found it very confusing, upsetting and at times depressing. I had a few really nice dates but after such a long marriage found it hard to move forward. In so many ways I consider myself as confident, the part where it is suggested that you go out shopping and talk and smile at strangers I just do that naturally. However, there were lots of other areas that I do lack confidence and motivation and think listening to this audio book will help me enormously. I plan on listening again and I will also visit the web site. Moving forward now I feel able to approach life with confidence and to achieve goals long forgotten.

Craig Beck is addicting

I have learned more from Craig Beck than any other psychologist, motivational writer, speaker, philosopher I have read and worked with. He does repeat some stories. I do find this effective b/c these insights begin to stick. He explains the why's, the how's, what to do about it and breakdown of how to get there. Love his author!

Very Good!

Great for keeping attention! Practical ideas and toops were given! Great start to building confidence especially for someone who doesn't have the tools but even for a person like me who teaches these things there were a few ideas I got from it and would recommend to clients.

Title Mismatch

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I would change the title of this book to: "Jolted Down Ideas About Shallow-Western-Young Males' Insecurities".
The author doesn't show any insight on women's issues, insecurities, or general aspirations. Most of his examples are of himself, or things that most women do not relate to; like judo martial arts as one example. The only situation that could come close to women's insecurities was the mentioning about physical appearance: his daughter's school friends calling her fat and ugly. Even though, the context in which this example was used was for illustrating a point of minimum relevance to the main point.Occasionally, he'd insert the overly repeated hypothesis of women being afraid of being rejected by "a hot guy". This book lacks depth and empathy. It was irritating to be waiting chapter after chapter for substance that was never delivered.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Undecided.

Have you listened to any of Craig Beck’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No. This is my first time. I am afraid to give him another chance and risk being bored out of my skull.

Could you see The Powerfully Confident Woman being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

No. I am 99.9% certain that nothing will come out of this book.

Any additional comments?

Why and how in the world this book got its title?
