Jackie Collins novels are my secret pleasure! You know exactly what you are doing to get and how. The Power Trip is exactly like this. Story is absurd, characters are one dimensional, but I LOVED it!

Jackie is always a bit of a guilty pleasure for me and this was no exception. I didn’t understand the thinking behind different narrators. The changeover felt jarring. The young woman especially did not make a convincing male. Her reading of Alex was borderline comical. And Tai had three different accents depending on who was reading him. He sounded like a country bumpkin farm boy when the young woman read him. Loved the story though.

Incredible how a large cast of characters are so distinct. The narration is fun and enjoyable and the glitzy story is all about the very enjoyable journey.
