I couldn't stop listening. Reader was a good choice and articulated well. Story was really interesting and well researched. The book covers a lot of story without feeling rushed. I'll be checking Marianis other books as well!

I really wasn’t sure if it would measure up to Bens adventures, but it really does. I do wonder how this can continue into a big series of books, I still hope Ben continues too. I would definitely continue to buy both series - I love the historical approach.

Fills the gap on Ben ..

I would first like to say how saddened I was that the Ben Hope series came to an end . However I was pleased that the end did not result in the death of Ben and that he can live out his life peacefully.

l did wonder, though, how and who could he be followed up by and at first was not sure that an historical character would come close to filling the the real time pace and action of the Ben Hope series.

I was wrong!

Will Bowman's character, whilst much more youthful and substantial less worldly wise, built and developed quickly. Surrounding himself with loyal friends and becoming highly adaptable to his surroundings and situations he turned into a leader which could very much have emulated the progress of a younger Ben.

It will take a couple more books to fully emerse in the character to the same level I had reached with the Ben Hope series but would urge others to give this new and maturing character's stories a fair chance as I believe he will become as exciting and memorable as his predisessor.

That Will Bowman could equate to the exploits of Ben Hope.

Scott Mariani blends historical intrigue in a fast-paced, twist-filled story. Will Bowman is compelling, tough, driven, and deeply human. I throughly enjoyed this read and having finished all the Ben Hope books this was a refreshing change. That said I now have two characters I want to know as to what happens to them...
