Well worth the listen!

A Modern who done it with a very good twist at the end. The story is set in three time periods of which 1989 and 2019 are the dominant. What I liked about this book most is its mystery and the fact that it keeps you guessing right until the end, in fact I didn't even suspect what was to come. The narrator Tamsin Kennard really does the book justice and keeps you listening, she added to the mystery and intrigue.
I really enjoyed this book.

Complete muddle

Narrative went from present to past to even further past so difficult to keep track of. Sadie and Beth (mother and daughter) were the main raconteurs but there may have been others I think. Anyway the story unravelled very slowly and centred on a big house which was coveted by some of the characters and was being used foe a murder mystery event. As I said back and forward we went where real parentage was eventually revealed. But this was so contrived and I missed who Sadie’s father was. I couldn’t bear to search back (if we were even told). Well narrated though

Uneven

I enjoyed a lot of this, but particularly towards the end there were a few reveals made and moved on from so suddenly that I thought i'd skipped a chapter

Huh?

Firstly, clearly a mistake as to the genre - its a 'whodunnit' not a horror/anything else.
Secondly, you need to concentrate as it jumps around so I lost the plot a few times (goes back, then to present without explanation or any change of voice). In fact the narrator doesn't change her voice/accent throughout so doesn't make it easier. Not sure about this one.
