I started this book hoping it would be as good as other TJ Brearton books I’d read/listened to but unfortunately I was massively disappointed. I made it to the end as I didn’t want to give up but I honestly wish I had. The plot (if there actually was one) was so slow. The narrator was the one positive and she did her best with a dreary, tedious story. It’s years since I can honestly say I’ve really disliked a book but this really did not have any redeeming features.
