About this listen

Kit O'Hare is struggling to prove her abilities to her father and her boss. After an unfortunate accident while playing the Easter Bunny lands her, literally, on top of the mayor's son, she realizes her hopes of keeping her job are over.

Without an event coordinator, Brant Fuller may never get his bar up and running properly. But when luck places him in the right place at the wrong time, he finds the solution to his problem—Kit.

Like rum and Coke, the two mix well. However, Brant is harboring a lie that could ruin them before they begin.

This was a sweet holiday romance! During the town’s Easter party, the Easter bunny is a no show. Kit, the town’s event planner, decides to put on the costume herself and things get trickier from there. Brant, they mayor’s son, goes after her from one of the accidents and their sparks start to fly. He sees how much trouble she’s having and offers Kit a job in hopes to save his bar. Brant and Kit has instant attraction and I loved their interactions. Honestly, I hate the “I have to lie about who I really am” trope and I’m not sure if that’ll ever change. I never understood why this is a good romance tactic when all it does is come back to bite you in the butt and make more unnecessary drama. I am glad that this ended in a HEA and that little problem got resolved.
Ava did a great job with this narration! I loved how she gave each character their own distinct voice, especially her country accent, and how well they flowed together.

Easter Gone Wrong

I really like this sweet, cute novella written by Erin Bevan. I felt it was original and well written.
It's about a young woman trying to fulfill her dream as an event planner, working for the Mayor's office.

She planned an Easter Egg Hunt in the park and she had one mishap after another trying to pull it off. One terrible incident occurred between her and the Mayor's son; which at the time she didn't know he was his son, that knew would cause her to lose her job, so she quit.

Fortunately for her, the man she had the incident with, offered her an event planner's job with his new bar that was opening up in a couple of weeks.

During this time, the two of them were developing feelings for each other but was trying to kept things professional. He continued to keep the secret that he was the Mayor's son from her, afraid that it would cause her to quit and he didn't want to lose her.

We all know secrets only cause things to go one or two ways.
I enjoyed listening to how the story unfolded and I definitely enjoyed the ending.

Ava Lucas did a wonderful job narrating this novella. I would recommend, "The Party Crasher" to others.

This story was too cute. I had a few laugh out loud moments. The story flowed really well, the words were well written. Ava Lucas did a great job with the narration, and gave life to the characters. Kit suffers some embarrassments with her job to the extent that she is fired. Brant hires her and sparks fly. Great bite size story. Perfect to listen on a commute.

I loved the lightheartedness to this story; it made it so quick of a listen. The narration by Ava Lucas was plain delightful! I’m not sure she can narrate anything badly! It was so light and fun and the narration was great.
