Summary

Disaster has struck the Human Federation of Worlds. The Eternals have finally found Earth and are preparing to destroy it and the rest of the Federation. They begin gathering a massive fleet to overwhelm and destroy all of the human worlds.

Fleet Admiral Jeremy Strong is far away on the far side of the universe attempting to build an alliance to stop the Eternals’ spread across countless galaxies. However, in his explorations he may have found a threat far greater than that represented by the Eternals.

The Originators along with their human allies rush to the aid of the Federation, but it may already be too late. If the Federation falls, the Originators will lose their war against the Eternals. Massive space battles erupt and worlds are destroyed as the battle for control of the universe rushes toward its fateful climax.

Hard Going

I have followed this series and the special five from the beginning, but this will be my last.

I love the storyline and characters, but the narration really let it down and ruined it for me. Liam Owen's emphasis is all in the wrong places and does not have the gravitas to carry this book. The problem lies with when you have listened to a book with a really good narrator, eg. Mark Boyett or Jeffrey Kafer, then pick up this book. The difference is glaring.

Keeps on entertaining!

There is somthing special about Raymonds audiobooks that makes me love his stories.
He taught me that there is always a greater enemy in the next galaxy :)
It took me a hour before I got in to this book but there after I could not stop reading. I like how the story gets bigger with a new threat from a multi universe. And I don't want to wait another 3-4 month for the next audiobook.
If you like Raymonds books you will really like this one!
