Summed up in my opinion: Break your chores into days so that you’re not over whelmed e.g. spend 30 mins per day doing house work from Mon - Fri. (Doesn’t have to be a 30 min block, could be e.g. 2 x 15 mins). Keep weekends free for other things. When you use something put it back in its place/tidy up. Don’t procrastinate/“be kind to your future self” e.g. don’t leave the night before dirty dishes in the sink if you’re fit to do them that night. Declutter your house to making cleaning easier/quicker. Don’t let the laundry build up to overwhelm you, keep it to a minimum e.g. don’t wash clothes unnecessarily i.e. can they be reworn without washing? Invest in a slow cooker - I did that a couple of years ago and can confirm it is brilliant as it’s a full meal in one pot ready with minimum effort when I finish work. I’d add to it, make a load of dinners in advance and freeze them, especially if you’re trying to prepare food for someone else or to fit in with travel/busier times.

Common sense approach, suitable for someone starting to run a home or as a refresh

Oh my goodness, this is a game changer! Such down to earth, non judgemental, clever and wise practical advice. I now have time to play with my toddler and for me - and the well ordered home I've longed for.

Amazing recipes, amazing tips, incredible Christmas run up check list all for busy parents on a budget.

I'm dyslexic, so found the daily focus on a room has really helped me use my time wisely. The house looks beautiful and I have so much extra time.

The whole family have benefitted positively. can't thank Gemma enough. what a clever, resourceful, solutions based lady!!

Although I consider myself to be a an organised person I definitely needed a bit of help! I run a home with 2 kids and a husband who works full time and although I gave up my part time job I started a full time degree this year! I was struggling to keep on top of the house as well as doing the school runs and writing essays and studying. I heard about this book on social media and thought why not give it a listen. I so happy that I did as it’s helped me feel more on top with everyday life and also given me the extra motivation in other areas! I don’t think I have ever finished any book like this before, it’s so simple and easy to follow!! I would 100% recommend giving this a read, you won’t regret it!!!

Life changing!
