The Battle has Begun –

The year is 1979. A small New York town prepares to welcome the fall season in all the expected ways: young children bicker and boast over Halloween costumes, secret lovers meet in clandestine corners, and a tortured soul plots wicked deeds. All the while, hidden just out of view, patient and hungry… an ancient evil lurks.

With their town under siege and all evacuation routes blocked, Sheriff Primrose is quickly running out of options. Falling back on his military training, he enlists the help of first-responders and retired officers, forming an armed posse. Their goal: round up as many survivors as possible before night falls, and then barricade themselves somewhere safe until dawn.

Despite being sidelined by the adults, Troy, Wendy, and Janis have made their own startling discovery, one that may help turn the tide in the impending confrontation–but only if they can convince their parents to listen.

But timeless malevolence is not so easily conquered. High up on the mountain, hidden in the depths of Mountainside Asylum, the dark entity has a plan of its own, something the Grove’s residents will never see coming.
