I’ve never rooted for a pair of main characters more than Chris and Larrissa, but it’s so much more than a romance. The exploration into alcohol misuse really hit home, as well as the themes of poverty and entitlement. The narration was 10/10.

I have read every single Abby Jimenez book and this one is up there as 1 of my favourites. The moral compass of the main characters was refreshing and their love story unfolded beautifully. The dual narration and these 2 narrators together was the cherry on top. I also loved all the little mentions of characters and places from previous books. Just fabulous! Hoping Mike’s story is next ;)
