About this listen
A DARK-FANTASY ROMANCE FROM ALEXANDRA CHRISTO, AUTHOR OF TIKTOK SENSATION TO KILL A KINGDOM. Enter a world of Gods and monsters . . .
Atia is an immortal who feeds on fear and nightmare. As the last of her kind, she hides in the shadows of the world to escape the wrath of the vengeful Gods. Silas is a Herald, carrying messages and ferrying the dead, as punishment for a past he can't remember.
Atia would never dream of allying with someone like him, but when she breaks a sacred law and the Gods send monsters to hunt her, Silas offers an irresistible deal: he'll help her take on the Gods and get vengeance for her family. But in return, she must help him break the curse that binds him and restore his humanity. All they need to do is kill three powerful creatures: a vampire, a banshee and one of the very Gods who has destroyed both their lives. Only together can they finally rewrite their destinies.
Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Tricia Levenseller and Alexandra Bracken, this is a thrilling fast-paced fantasy with breath-taking romance.

◇ Curses
◇ Fade to black romance
◇ High stakes
My new favourite reading method is reading on my kindle while listening to the audiobook and this audio was fantastic.
Aita is so fierce, so strong, and so incredibly loyal despite how she might argue against being called it.
Silas is a tragedy wrapped in a fine suit, always questioning, always wondering, and always watching her.
I love Cillian and Tristan, little LGBTQ side screen romance blossoming. They are both wonderful side characters. Tristan and his willingness to help. Cillian and his desire to belong.
The story itself was compelling, I fought sleep, I thought about it when I wasn’t reading it and it made me gasp and fear to keep on reading.
If you’re interested in high stakes action packed stories with unique monsters and magic systems then this one is for you!
Favourite quotes: “Never once did I think I could meet someone who would understand me so well, taking the good with the bad and not acting like either of them was a burden.”
“You’re always so unpleasant,” he says. “Did I ever tell you that I want to kiss you the most when you scowl?”
