Summary

From Onjali Q. Rauf, the award-winning and best-selling author of The Boy at the Back of the Class, comes another incredible story, told with humour and heart.

Told from the perspective of a bully, this book explores themes of homelessness, while celebrating kindness, friendship and the potential everyone has to change for the good.

Inspired by Onjali's own childhood experiences of growing up in London and seeing the impact of homelessness on those around her, The Night Bus Hero follows an unlikely friendship between our narrator and Thomas - who lives in the park.

Can they get to the bottom of some unusual thefts taking place across the city and discover what it takes to be a real hero?

Fantastic for all ages

I really enjoyed The Night Bus Hero as an adult and would definitely read this with my class at school. It deals with some sensitive issues really well. Recommend 8+ with discussion.

A super read

This is a great story, with different characters, I really like how Hector"s character evolved and the change in relationships with his peers, family and Ben. This story touches you and is also light hearted in places. Recommended for all KS2.

Heartwarming.

I recommend this book to anyone. I really love the characters and the adventure they go on. Though it did make me a little sad that hector thought his parents didn’t love him, but I suppose it’s part of the story. Overall I enjoyed listening to this book MANY MANY times. 🤣😁😁😁
