Summary

From number one New York Times best-selling author Daniel Silva comes a stunning new thriller of vengeance, deception, and betrayal.

At an exclusive private school in Switzerland, mystery surrounds the identity of the beautiful girl who arrives each morning and leaves each afternoon in a heavily protected motorcade fit for a head of state. She is said to be the daughter of a wealthy international businessman. She is not.

And when she is brutally kidnapped across the border in the Haute-Savoie region of France, Gabriel Allon, the legendary chief of Israeli intelligence, is thrust into a deadly secret war with an old enemy that will determine the future of the Middle East - and perhaps the world....

Daniel Silva always writes a great novel.

A really great listen, a story to keep you transfixed and wanting to hear more from George Guidall. The best artist at rendering a great novel.

So up to date with history

I have sent this book to my son as his first audio. My husband and I share a book when we are relaxing but Gabriel keeps us on our feet. George Guidall is definitely the best narrator of these books. We enjoyed the prologue as it explained a lot. Cannot wait for the next one!

Edge of seat thrills

Once again, Gabriel Allon together with his team, saves the day. I look forward to his next adventure next July. Great entertainment.

Difficult to hear at times

Not the authors best work by far. A lot of repetition, especially in the first half of the book. Only in the last part of the book, the pace picks up and becomes engaging.
I had to rewind several times to understand the words. Something about the accent or speed of speech of the narrator, made it hard for me to hear what was going on.
