I couldn’t complete the book as the writing lacked engagement. Disappointing and frustrating to listen too. Narrator was good but had little to work with.

The dialogue was like a gcse drama, what’s worse is how it was narrated… honestly sounded like a child wrote it and was so unrealistic

Another good Audible Original that I really enjoyed listening to on my travels. The story starts off in the usual sort of way: Succcessful young mum and husband, in a beautiful home, and precoius young son, who need an extra pair of hands and so employ a pretty young nanny.

However, something doesn't feel right to Amanda from the off, and she should have trusted her instincts. Then unfolds a sequence of baffling, frustrating, and sometimes dangerous incidents in their family home, and more than meets the eye with her husband.

The story has parts that felt fairly obvious, but others that kept you guessing, and it flowed well as an eBook as I felt the frustrations and horror in the vocies of the characters. It made for a good psychological thriller about secrets, deception, and obsession, with manipulation forming as a frustratingly constant undertone!
