The story was enjoyable, and felt comfortably familiar because of characters from book one in the series. It veered away from reality though by introducing themes and behaviour more in tune with the twenty first century. Perhaps that makes the story better for younger readers, but I think it best to stay in the era you have chosen to write about, only altering language to ensure it is comprehensible to the reader. Overall a pleasing story

I like this family, the dynamics are enjoyable and engaging! Their overbearing mother and her totally toad eating husband are as funny as ever! Great light relief!

Mr OIiver, not as predictable as you (the reader), initially expect. The mysteriousness of his circumstances are worthy of the title.

A good second book, worthy of the first. I like the narrator, both male and female, old or young were within his remit. Totally enjoyable.
