Summary

When Sergeant Major Morris brings a mummified monkey’s paw to the White family, they embrace it as a morbid curiosity. When they learn that an old Fakir has enchanted the paw, they continue to treat the thing lightly. But the workings of the paw, once set in motion, cannot be undone, no matter what they try.

Great reading of the classic

Perfect short story for getting in the mood for Halloween.

Great narration. This is a recording from his podcast "The Classic Tales Podcast" where he reads public domain works.

A story to tell around the campfire

a short story that reminds me of sitting around the campfire with a bunch of Boy Scouts and telling scary stories. this story is not too scary but scary enough to get the imagination going for a young teenage boy.

Quick Spook

I love little horror stories and this one takes the cake. Great story, great narrator, and short.
