My first Natasha West book and I have enjoyed many more in her catalogue. This audiobook version was in my opinion not enhanced by the narrator .

A good story iffy narrator

Natasha West's original bi/lesbian romance is written with imagination, wit and a warm heart. While still good, the humour is slightly uneven and doesn't quite reach the heights of "The Rise and Fall (and Rise Again) of Clara Wilde", which is exceptionally good.

Unfortunately this audiobook is let down by the narrator, Lynn Harris, who frequently wrecks sentences with her uneven delivery. She does not vary her voice enough to reflect the tone of the story or give each of the main characters her own voice, resulting in a narrative that is confusing for the listener. This a great shame because it is refreshing to hear an everyday British accent that is not stereotypically upper middle class or based on the royal family.
