About this listen
From the Sunday Times number-one best-selling author Lucinda Riley, The Missing Sister is the seventh instalment in the multimillion-copy epic series The Seven Sisters.
They’ll search the world to find her.
The six D’Aplièse sisters have each been on their own incredible journey to discover their heritage, but they still have one question left unanswered: who and where is the seventh sister?
They only have one clue - an image of a star-shaped emerald ring. The search to find the missing sister will take them across the globe - from New Zealand to Canada, England, France and Ireland - uniting them all in their mission to complete their family at last.
In doing so, they will slowly unearth a story of love, strength and sacrifice that began almost 100 years ago, as other brave young women risk everything to change the world around them.
The Missing Sister is the seventh instalment in Lucinda Riley’s multimillion copy epic series.
©2021 Lucinda Riley (P)2021 W. F. Howes LtdCaroline Lennon & Georgia Maguire are both good narrators but it was clear that they had not read or listened to the first 6 books in the series as they both got a few of the characters’ accents totally wrong! Claudia is German!! Christian is Swiss! They were both given regional English accents 😂 And it didn’t really make sense to give some of the sisters Swiss French accents and some of them British RP accents, especially Electra who’d been living in America for years… But other than this they were very good. Clear storytelling and character differentiation and both nice voices to listen to which is always a relief with a long one like this!
I love this series!

I found the narrator frustrating with her terrible try of the kiwi accent, I nearly gave up.
Good Story, but the narration wasn't!

Two years ago we went on holiday to Ireland. lots of museums and guided tours. we learned so much about Irish history and now listening to The Missing Sister and having this story told makes the things we learn even more real.
This book is fiction, but the horrible things that happened years ago wasn't. But this book tells a story of how it was and how many lived and struggled during those years.
I love how Lucinda is able to take me on a journey time and time again. Her descriptions are so good, she make me feel like I am present when the story is told. Always keep me hanging on,wanting more. Very touching, emotional, sad, heartbreaking, raw, sweet, funny, exciting..the list goes on.
Another sister book made me cry. And the end -cliffhanger- both happy and sad tears. I now know who the missing sister is.. and wow, I'm scared to spoil anything if I go in writing. all I can say is tat I can't wait for Atlas, PA Salt's story!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this, as I have every other book in the series.
I was, however a bit miffed to find that this was not the conclusion of the tale.
it also seems a bit unlikely that the girls had never thought to wonder what their father did before he died? (if, infact, he did??)
Have these girls never heard of Google?
that aside, another great tale.
another great meander in time
