Summary

You love your family. They make you feel safe. You trust them.

But should you?

When 15-year-old Billy Wilkinson goes missing in the middle of the night, his mother, Claire, blames herself. She's not the only one. There isn't a single member of Billy's family who doesn't feel guilty. But the Wilkinsons are so used to keeping secrets from one another that it isn't until six months later, after an appeal for information goes horribly wrong, that the truth begins to surface.

Claire is sure of two things: that Billy is still alive and that her friends and family had nothing to do with his disappearance.

A mother's instinct is never wrong. Or is it?

This is a really good book and a great listen, I had to carry on listening in every spare moment. It all came together brilliantly, C.L. Taylor is a marvellous author and Clare Corbett is a fabulous narrator

could not stoo listening

I bought this souley due to the narrator if i m being honest. I find her easy to listen to and she brings characters to life. She did not dissapoint and neither did the story.
When I first started to listen I found the text dialogues a bit irratating however they were pivotal to this story which was a real who dunnit.
i finished in two sittings. I literally couldn't stop listening.

Real page turner!

An author I hadn't previously come across, but this book gripped me from page 1. The vehicle of using the amnesia episodes, really helped to prolong the tension. I loved it!

Took a while to get going

There was a certain amount of intrigue in terms of how the two threads of the story would finally come together, but it total I don't think the author had enough material to make a complex and satisfying thriller. There was a lot of preamble with Clare hunting for her missing son in different places. That did serve to develop things in terms of family relationships, which is perhaps what the book is really about rather than a Psycological Suspense Thriller.
