firstly, applause to both narrators for capturing the essence and personality of each character. I found myself engrossed and laughing out loud !

If you enjoy the above tropes then you will love this. The banter is on point and I found myself buckled over with laughter at some scenes. I will say that it's not all light hearted there are some emotional scenes that really round out the story.

STORY REVIEW: 5 STARS (FEB 2025)
When I tell you that I cannot wait for this story to be in my ears, I am downplaying it! The quick wit and banter had me from the very beginning. I had a good time reading this story and I couldn’t wait to turn the pages. The chemistry between Gannon & Carys wasn’t just sexual in nature. They had chemistry as friends and as partners. All of their interactions had a spark, and I just loved it. It made me happy all the way thru. Their story wasn’t a good time every minute, because reasons (read the book lol), but even when it wasn’t, it was still a joy to be in the story.
The worlds that Adriana continues to create are always so full of heart and hope that you just can’t help but fall in love. The stories are almost always interconnected in some way because family is one of the main components and that’s the best of things. In her worlds, you don’t just get the story of a sibling, for example, and move on to the next. No, they keep reappearing in other stories, and they are very much a part of each other’s lives. That’s what makes the worlds that she creates so attractive to me. I come from a large family and when something happens to one, you had better believe we are all up in it. Feel me?
If you’re looking for a feel-good, sexy, full of spark journey between two people who have all kinds of chemistry, this is a story you do not want to miss!
AUDIO REVIEW: 5 STARS (MARCH 2025)
This was an absolute blast in my ears! When I read it, I knew it was going to be an absolute blast in my ears, and it did not disappoint! I’m new to narrator Jack Calihan so I’m gonna need more listens to form a full opinion but I can say, with great certainty, that I will be looking out for audiobooks that he has narrated in the future AND he was a perfect match for Angelina Rocca when it comes to their respective voice-overs. Meaning when she had to narrate Gannon, she was darn close to Jack’s raspy style of voice, and he was to hers as well! A match made in heaven, and it made this audio junkie the happiest of happy for 8 hours! 👏👏Excellent job to them both!!👏👏

Carys is determined to make it on her own and not have to go back to working for her mum in insurance. She has a plant business that she is trying to make a success. To aid in this, her best friend Tate suggests she set up a meeting with his older brother Gannon to pitch her business to him so he (Gannon) can hire her. When they finally have their business meeting, sparks fly, and things take an interesting turn!
Meanwhile, the broody Gannon has always had a thing for Carys. But due to her age and her links to his family (being his brother’s best friend), she has always been off limits to him. When she shows up looking for help with her business, he just can’t say no to her. Can he resist her… or will he finally allow himself to fall?
This was soo fun! The chemistry between these two was fire! I really loved seeing Carys challenge Gannon and bring him out of his broodiness. Underneath it all, he was actually so caring and protective. This book gave me laughs, it gave me romance, and even had me blushing at moments! I thoroughly enjoyed it… from the beginning, all the way to the end. If you’re looking for an age-gap, grumpy/sunshine story… look no further. This was such a great time.
The audiobook also helped bring this story to life. Narrated by Angelina Rocca and Jack Calihan, they were the perfect duo to carry this story. Rocca perfectly brought out the sweet, kind-hearted, but determined personality that Carys had. And Calihan was also great with his portrayal of the broody, but caring and protective Gannon. They were excellent in these roles and I enjoyed my listening experience.

The Merger is the fourth book in The Brewer Family series. This book was a fun read. Carys has been best friends with Tate Brewer for years. She is struggling to find her calling. She has started her own company. Her company is home health for plants. Gannon Brewer is Crays’s opposite. He is the oldest Brewer brother and has taken over the CEO of the family business. He is uptight and way to old to be crushing on his little brother’s best friend, but he can’t stop. He decides to take a chance on Crays’s business for the plants around the office building. This book has great banter. These two couldn’t be more perfect for each other.
Angelina Rocca and Jack Calihan did a phenomenal job narrating this book.
