About this listen

On a freezing November night Commissioner Alec Blume is called to the scene of a shooting. The victim is Sofia Fontana, the sole witness to a previous killing. I have enjoyed all the other books by Conor Fitzgerald that I have listened to (some not now available on Audible) but didn't check the narrator for this one. What a mistake.

I found it impossible to get beyond a couple of chapters. The narrator, who had an American accent, seemed to be unable to differentiate between characters and I had to listen to some conversations more than once to work out who was speaking.

But the story seemed intriguing so I expect I'll buy the book.
